My £400 Dell laptop has ceased to start up... it hasn't quite lasted a whole acadaemic year. I'm going to try to fix it, luckily I have bought an external hard drive and most information is stored on that so worst case scenario, i'm hoping, is that i just have it blanked.
Funny how this Sony Vaio which is 3 years old and has taken alot of abuse having been dragged to school in a bag and generally kicked around as well as having visited Monaco and the Caribbean is still working fine.
Buy cheap, buy dear.
Edit: problem now resolved, Dell not complete shite after all.
