Breakfast: Hobnob and cup of tea.

Early Dinner: 2nd half of yesterdays Quiche and a tin of foul pestilent soup.#

Now I'm off to watch a film. I believe it may be "Good night, and good luck".

(edit: Film was good, mellow - no action - but interesting enough and with clear references to the current Guantanemo Bay issues. Pint of Guiness and some chips after)

Quiche!

Well that was a good way to kill time and made some cheap, easy and delicious food!

Having pronounced it a triumphal success and not a messy failure - Thanks go to Madsen for the idea, recipe and step-by-step instructions (which were required and re-read at most stages).

"This kind of quiche should be learned by students as a basic survival dish. It is quickly and easily prepared, quite impressive to serve, you can put virtually anything into it, and it is very inexpensive to make." - Madsen

What will be next? Who knows!

Quiche biopsy... and it tastes great!! Posted by Picasa

Monday!

Brunch: 2 chippolata sausages in a folded slice of bread - dash of ketchup, cup of tea.

And currently I'm cooking a Quiche. So i'm gonna post this now and dinner will be photographically illustrated later - I'm expecting success, but its a tense time!

Sunday.

Brunch: A late bowl of Sultana Bran (last of the pack)

Late Luncheon: A mint burger... except it was quite large and I had no burger buns, just bread and salad. By 'salad' I mean raw red onion and cos lettuce. Time for a shop sometime soon!

I recall ahving a spaghetti snack at some point latter that night. Then off to the pub for a few swift bottles of wine.

The News of The World had a good story in it on the 26th about some miserable little parasite called Ellen Morris who gets more than the national average wage in benefits, smokes 40 a day and drinks vodka with her toy-boy whil demanding (!) more money, it's a hard life.

Currently listening to The Kinks 'Death of a Clown'.

Saturday!!

Exclamation marks make saturday more interesting... anyway...

Woke up 8ish did some reading sat down at 11 and started typing out a tedious little essay on the differences of British and American Hegemony...

Stopped at 13:00 for lunch: This was sausage and the last of the mash, now thats finished i can venture into other things again!

Watched England getting beaten by Scotland at the rugby - what was that about? 3 pints didn't make the result any better!

Went home and had a little pasta with tomato sauce and a wee dash of 'Te Bheag' whisky.

A couple of rice cakes and a hobnob later I was in the pub: had a few more pints and a half bottle of wine.

Friday more mash!

Woke up for my 10am Logic lecture, after that went to a maths lecture and then to a psychology lecture on "Theory of Mind". It killed time...

Late lunch of Sausages and multi-veg mash.

Dinner was a very sumptuous burger. It was possibly one of the best I have made so far...

A note on yesterday "breakfast"

Breakfast was actually eaten around 1pm and I had no other meals all day. 2 bottles of wine were consumed and then I woke up.

Tuesday - The pillow mystery!

I appear to have lost a pillow... How does that happen? It's not an item I often carry around with me, or even move from my bed. Yet the pillow has disappeared... One down, two to go!

Brunch: A homemade beefburger at around 1pm, I had awoken early to do my laundry and not had any 'breakfast' as such.

Pre Dinner Snack: A sausage sandwich with mustard and red onion.

Shortly followed by...

Dinner: A Quesadilla, I don't really 'get' this food, its like a wrap except the sides are open... and i'm not a massive tortilla fan. If you're going to eat this combination of food, why not in the form of a 'user-friendly' Burrito. Anyway, many thanks to Amy for providing the culinary feast.

Friday I began the weekend with:

A sizeable bowl of Sultana Bran and a cup of tea before my Logic lecture.

Came back and had half a grapefruit (Star Ruby, organic and no sugar) chased down with another cup of tea.

Made the most amazing burgers (again - but by now they have been perfected... plus I had to finish off the mince).

Later that night I consumed some spaghetti with a tomato and yellow pepper sauce before I went to see Artistocrats - hilarious film!

Went to the pub then people came back to mine - much alcohol was consumed.

Friday seminars on "Concepts in International Relations"

Last week the background music for this seminar was the Lord of the Rings soundtrack (she couldn't find any Gypsy music - she was polite enough to apologise). We explored Nationalism by imagining setting up a fake nation... yuh...

The week before we listened to "Barbarian music" Inca - the sounds of the Andes. While we explored cultural differences, I had to explain for 5minutes why I wouldn't marry 3 wives (too expensive).

The first week she didnt understand why the computer wasnt playing music (I pointed out it had no speakers). This meant it was easier to concentrate while we "deconstructed things down to a personal level". Mainly these were issues in asia, based on one fanciful anecdotal account by a certain Amy Chau...

What will this Friday's theme music be? I canna wait...

Sunday 5th's Superbowl Cuisine

Breakfast: A smaller bowl of Fruit and Fibre - packet now run out, 2 cups of tea, a piece of chewing gum.

Lunch: Rice cooked with leftover curry sauce and half a wrinkled red onion.
dubbed "poor man's risotto"
Dinner: Went to watch the super bowl (cost £5) got a free hotdog. The ticket was sold to me as "free hotdogS" but clearly the plurality referred to there being more people than just me.
In addition I saw them cart off a whole load of uneaten hotdogs (after i had asked for a second one and they had said no) and eventually, towards the end, produced toasted baguettes for £2.20 each. I suppose that is both good for the environment and the students as this phoney baloney student union is always banging on about.
I ate some smokey bacon crisps, drank a pint of water and a bottle of Riddle white wine. It made things more bearable.

Yesterday I Consumed:

Breakfast: Small bowl of Fruit & Fibre, 3 cups of tea
Lunch: One tin of Scotch Broth and 2 hobnobs for desert
Dinner: A frozen kebab (not frozen at time of consumption)
In Addition: who stole my other kebab. Bastard...
Following Dinner I managed to acquire 2 small chips by the grace of Melissa. I treated myself to a Jafa Cake later that night.
At the Pub I had some glasses of water as I was beginning to get the shakes and other signs of over consumption of alcohol (happiness).
