The Finest Wines...
…are home-made (and not by me). A friend returned to university with some home-made booze. This is a Mango&Apple from late 2005.
I would describe it as having heavy overtones of dark brown sugar, a complex liche aftertaste which develops into a burning in the throat, hints of ethanol on the nose. A fruity little number… Percentage? Unknown but undoubtably high due to the sugary quality and numbing effect.

Passion fruit creme brulee
The time is 17:52 and I've just taken these 2 creme brulees out of the oven (cooked in a water bath). They are cooling until I wrap them in cling film and put in the fridge for 4 hours.
I'm looking forward to eating one of them for dinner tonight, so its all a bit of a rush - silly last minute idea, hopefully ready for 10pm, dinner starts around 9.
First ever creme brulee I've ever made and I try and be fancy and make it passion fruit... Hopefully it will all pay off.
